Diane Ducharme

About

Diane is the Manager of the Veterans Directed Care Program with the IMAGE Center for People with Disabilities. She is a  Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and holds a BS in Psychology from Kutztown University and a M.ED in Counseling majoring in Rehabilitation Counseling from Penn State. 

Prior to the IMAGE Center, Diane served as a Senior Program Manager for BlindShell USA and as a Case Manager for the Lehigh County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. She has also worked as a Vocational Specialist for Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind in Washington DC and was an Outreach Specialist for Sprint Accessibility.  

Diane has a passion for helping individuals with blindness or low vision use accessible technology (AT). She loves helping users find that "Eureka!" moment when they discover that they too can send a text message or listen to a podcast on their cell phone.  Diane is also a trainer for Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT) and leads a nation-wide call-in support group for individuals with varying degrees of sight loss. Her favorite quote that she often recites is, "The most precious gift you can give someone is your time."
