Montgomery Connects

Montgomery County Chromebook Distribution

Montgomery County is providing 1 free Chromebooks to Montgomery County residents who do not have access to a computer. You must be a Montgomery County resident at least 7 years old. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen. Limit 1 computer per person. People who previously received a computer from the County are not eligible to receive another computer. You must have an appointment to receive a computer, have a library card, be a Montgomery County resident, and bring proof of ID and address to your appointment.

Baltimore City Chromebook Distribution

In partnership with Baltimore City Information & Technology and the Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband the Pratt Library will be distributing 30,000 HP Chromebooks to eligible Baltimore City households. Distribution events will be held at various Pratt locations and local community sites. Through the Maryland Connected Devices Program (MD-CDP), efforts will continue to decrease the digital divide and increase digital literacy in the Baltimore City community.

Carroll County: Chromebooks Available For Check Out

Carroll County Public Library was selected as a recipient of a State of Maryland Emergency Education Relief Grant(MEER) Grant. Our Chromebook Lending Agreement must be signed at the time of borrowing. Chromebooks are available for check out to Maryland residents only. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a library card in order to check out a Chromebook. The loan period is 3 weeks. Chromebooks can be renewed up to 5 times if no one else has reserved one.
