What does this resource cover? 

This lesson was created by the Georgia 4-H and will help parents/guardians/caregivers keep their children safe online. There are three activities within this lesson.

What will community members learn? 

According to the included lesson plan, after learners complete this lesson, they will be able to:

  • Identify resources for reviewing digital materials designed for youth
  • Create a family social media contract, outlining expected behaviors of family members

How long will this program take?

  • 20-30 minutes per activity

What materials are needed?

  • Digital devices (computers, tablets, smartphones), access to the Internet, flip chart, markers, blank paper, pens/pencils, family media contract handouts (included)

How many staff are required?

  • One staff member
