Program Conclusion Notice
Effective at the close of business on September 30, 2026, all UME Marylanders Online activities supported through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding will conclude. This planned closeout is part of the initial project transition announcement shared in November 2025.
Project Closure Information
Please be advised that all information and resources listed on MarylandersOnline.umd.edu will no longer be actively maintained after September 30, 2026. All tools and services developed through Marylanders Online are the property of the University of Maryland.
Due to the conclusion of the Marylanders Online digital literacy project, after September 30, the following services will no longer be actively supported:
- Social media channels & newsletters
- Website updates - no new events, articles, and resources will be added
- Administrative assistance from project staff - including project-related communications
- The Marylanders Online Helpline’s phone and email support

Resources that will Remain Available
Though direct program operations will conclude, all core Marylanders Online resources developed through four years of the successful literacy project will remain available to partners and communities across Maryland, including:
To support the long-term sustainability of the project's digital navigation services, Marylanders Online has launched two new resources that are available free of charge to the public:
- Mo, the digital navigation assistant, offers 24/7 multilingual resource discovery and tech support
- The Maryland Digital Asset Map, search more than 400 digital resources and service providers across the state
