2026 MONET Rolling Cohort Announced
Registration is now open for the 2026 MONET training rolling cohort, a flexible digital navigator certification course designed for the busy public-serving professionals of Maryland. Graduates of the 2026 cohort will be trained using the nationally-recognized Marylanders Online Education Toolkit ( MONET) curriculum and certified to provide digital navigation services and support within their communities. Participants leave with actionable tools, job-ready practices, and community-focused digital inclusion strategies that strengthen digital inclusion.

This training is available at no cost to Maryland libraries, schools, workforce programs, healthcare partners, social service agencies, and other public-serving agencies.
Cohort Overview
The 2026 rolling cohort offers flexible options for participants to attend the live instruction sessions required for MONET certification. Graduates of the 2026 cohort must complete 12 self-paced online modules and attend interactive virtual sessions. Each topic session will be offered multiple times between March and July 2026 to ensure everyone has an opportunity to complete it. One live session must be attended for each course topic to earn MONET certification.
Self-Paced Course Components:
12 online modules must be completed independently through UMD's Canvas ELMS
Live Course Components
Live sessions are offered twice weekly on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m, and Thursdays, 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Optional Course Components:
- Weekly Drop-In Office Hours - offered weekly on Wednesdays, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Bi-Weekly Digital Navigator Lunch Bunch - held bi-weekly on Wednesdays, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m
