About

Whitney Moret is the Deputy Director of Broadband and Digital Equity with the Baltimore City Office of Information and Technology, where she leads citywide broadband and digital inclusion initiatives by developing strategy, managing programs and staff, securing funding, engaging stakeholders, and using data to advance equitable access to technology and connectivity. 

 

Whitney brings 15 years of experience expanding economic opportunities, gender equality, and social inclusion for underserved communities around the world. She has designed, managed, and evaluated evidence-based programs to address systemic inequalities and support digital equity, financial inclusion, peacebuilding, and employment in the United States, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

 

In her current role, Whitney works with a talented team to ensure that Baltimore’s digital equity efforts are rooted in resident engagement and leverage a capable ecosystem of community-based service providers and partners to deliver sustainable outcomes. Whitney has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s in development management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
