Gabriel Fumero is a Tech Educator based out of the University of Maryland College Park office covering College Park and surrounding areas in Prince George’s County. Gabriel is a skilled bilingual educator with extensive experience working with diverse populations in both public and private education sectors across North and South America. He is fluent in Spanish and English and holds an MA in Education from California State University with a specialization in New Media Design and Production, Computer Education, and Technology Leadership. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Education and Instructional Technology from Instituto Universitario Pedagógico de Caracas in Venezuela.
Gabriel integrates technology into learning processes using his instructional and curriculum design background, applying a pedagogical approach. Throughout his career, he has played many roles, including teaching elementary school students, managing digital literacy programs, and developing bilingual curricula. Gabriel served as editor-in-chief for the Santillana Publishing Company, overseeing the publication of multiple educational materials. He is proficient with both Mac and Windows platforms and a wide range of computer programs, including Adobe InDesign and digital video editing. Gabriel looks forward to contributing his knowledge and experience to the UME Marylanders Online project.
