Mac is the Senior Program Manager of Johns Hopkins’ 21st Century Cities Initiative. He serves as the project manager for the Baltimore Social-Environmental Collaborative (BSEC). His research focuses on business dynamics, access to capital for small businesses and minority entrepreneurs, and neighborhood quality of life in cities.
He is the co-author of Unlocking the Potential of Post-Industrial Cities (Hopkins Press, 2021). He serves on the boards of Baltimore Public Media, the Baltimore Digital Equity Coalition, and The Friends of the Jones Falls. He received his MA in Scottish History from the University of Edinburgh and his MLitt in Scottish Historical Studies from the University of St Andrews.
