Rev. Dr. Alfred John Bailey II serves as the Minister of Mission and Outreach at New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Bailey provides strategic oversight of both local and international mission departments, creating impactful opportunities to serve communities across the globe. Locally, he leads initiatives that address the root causes of poverty through robust programming that supports community members, older adults, regional schools, and the congregation. His work increasingly integrates digital workforce development, equipping individuals with the skills and tools needed to thrive in a technology-driven economy. These efforts include partnerships with educational institutions and nonprofits to provide access to digital literacy, remote work readiness, and career advancement resources.
Dr. Bailey also serves on the Board of Directors at the United Way of Central Maryland, where he contributes to regional strategies for equity and empowerment. Nationally, he is building partnerships with organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support children battling sickle cell disease and cancer. Internationally, Dr. Bailey identifies, assesses, and implements humane efforts in various countries, focusing on sustainable development and leadership capacity building. Holding a doctorate in global leadership, Dr. Bailey is passionate about cultivating leaders across diverse sectors. His life is grounded in prayer, and he remains deeply committed to watching God’s people grow in faith, purpose, and impact.
